We grew up in Memphis and were transferred to Nashville in 1978. We may not have been certain about what the city held for our family, but we were confident in one thing: we knew that our two children would be in Catholic schools.
Our faith is very important to us, and it was evidenced by our commitment to our church and our participation in activities at school. In so many ways, Catholic education has been a focal point for our lives and it has been the center for many of our activities. We found the Catholic school we were seeking at St. Edward. St. Edward School then led us directly to Father Ryan High School. At Father Ryan, we have seen firsthand outstanding academic programs, and we built friendships and connections that have continued ever since.
In addition to our faith experience, Father Ryan is a wonderful academic institution. The smaller classes produce better students who are lifelong learners, and when you add Catholic faith to the learning experience, you have a wonderful combination. We want to see faith-filled students who are also happy students who are active members of the community
That is why we made a planned gift. First, because of the need - we know tuition is expensive at a private school. Hopefully our commitment will provide that future generations may experience a Father Ryan education just like our children enjoyed.
Second, it is so very simple to set up. Our planned gift is in our will - we aren't taking something away from our family, we are simply including Father Ryan! No matter if your gift is big or small, there is always something you can do for a special institution like Father Ryan. Your gift is important to ensure that the tradition continues, and we are furthering our faith in this community. By including Father Ryan in your will, you will be helping others in the future.
